The Pennsylvania Game Commission Northcentral Region and RGS Susquehanna River Valley Chapter are teaming up for a volunteer workday. 10 volunteers are needed to apply herbicide to invasives as part of a precursor to a larger commercial aspen sale on SGL 075. Herbicide application within the identified stands is a crucial step before full habitat potential can be realized. Volunteers will need to bring long sleeve shirts, pants, boots, and eye protection. If you have less than four shooters, we’ll fill vacancies to make a full shooter squad if possible. In an effort to streamline registration, the chapter asks that all participants register online prior to the shoot. The only paper registrations being accepted are walk-ins the day of the event who can pay by cash, check or credit card. Ammunition not provided. Bring your own shells. We are proud will offer our popular Women’s Introduction to Wingshooting Program at the Mt. Jewett Sportsmen’s Club on July 19-20 and August 23-24. Women’s Introduction to Wingshooting is a course for women and taught by women. On both Saturdays, the course starts at noon and ends at 4 p.m. On both Sundays, the course starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Attendance is required for both weekends to graduate from the program.
