Women In Wingshooting 2026 Hunt Day

We are proud to offer our popular Women’s Introduction to Wingshooting Program at the Black Forest Conservation Association on July 18-19 and August 22-23. Women’s Introduction to Wingshooting is a course for women and taught by women. On both Saturdays, the course starts at noon and ends at 4:00 p.m. On both Sundays, the course starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. Registrants must attend both weekends to be eligible for the hunt on Sunday, September 13. Ridge Country Chapter Habitat Day at State Gamelands 107

In partnership with the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC), volunteers from Turkeys for Tomorrow and the Ridge Country Chapter of The Ruffed Grouse Society will be planting crabapple trees on State Gamelands 107.

Trees will need holes dug and cages made in order to protect them from deer and other wildlife as they get started.

Volunteers, please plan to bring work gloves and a shovel.

**Note** Access to this location is ONLY from Mountain Rd. There is no vehicle access north on Long Valley Rd from Schrader Creek Rd.

 

The Northeastern PA Chapter is partnering with multiple conservation groups to host habitat workdays in Bradford County. These projects will focus on expanding shrubland habitat for Eastern cottontail rabbits, ruffed grouse and American woodcock.

Please be sure to bring protective equipment like chaps, helmets, gloves, eye and ear protection.

 

All volunteers should RSVP prior to the event by contacting:

Lunch will be provided for attendees.
