In partnership with the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC), volunteers from Turkeys for Tomorrow and the Ridge Country Chapter of The Ruffed Grouse Society will be planting crabapple trees on State Gamelands 107.
Trees will need holes dug and cages made in order to protect them from deer and other wildlife as they get started.
Volunteers, please plan to bring work gloves and a shovel.

Women will be paired up and sent out into nearby covers with a mentor who can assist in navigating via OnX, educate on grouse food and resources, and instill off-trail confidence. The PA Game Commission is developing a new woodcock propagation area on SGL 317 and the local chapter is providing needed volunteers to assist the project.
PGC is prepping the ground with a skid steer and volunteers are needed for extensive planting of aspen, alder and hawthorne.
