Do you upland bird hunt and want to meet other passionate hunters? Then you should join the American Woodcock Society for a chapter interest night in Savannah, GA! Members in the Savannah area have expressed interest in starting a new AWS chapter and we are hosting an event to see who else wants to get involved.
The evening will include a presentation from Sara Cerv our Regional Conservation Director, discussion around starting a new chapter, a whiskey tasting hosted by Old Dominick Distillery and door raffles to win RGS & AWS gear!

Join the Georgia Chapter for a fun morning of sporting clays at the Cherokee Gun Club! Registration includes 100 clays, lunch and prizes for the top three shooters. Shooters will need to bring 5 boxes of shells. Come on out and start your spring with a blast!
Join the Georgia Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society for a fun day with the Club de I’Epagneul Breton of the United States field trial in Lumpkin, Georgia. The field trials begin on Thursday at Hutwagner Farms at 7 a.m. EST, with events running throughout the day. Attendees will be able to follow the trials in the gallery and see action throughout the event.
On Friday, December 6, at 10 a.m. the Georgia Chapter will be set up at Hutwagner Farms to watch the Breed Specialty Show. After the show, socialize with other chapter members while enjoying some Omaha Brewing Beer.
The trials continue Saturday, December 7, and attendees are also welcome to attend that day.

From Lumpkin, head north on US 27 (approximately 3 miles) to James Lane Loop, head east on James Lane Loop (approximately 1⁄4 mile). The farm is on the east side of the road.

Join the Georgia Chapter for a fun day of dog training and sporting clays. The day will begin with a pointing dog demonstration lead by Jerry Barnes. “The seminar will be geared toward the development of the Southern Appalachian gun dog. Key points being socialization, range of proper introduction techniques to include, bird, launcher, prey drive, retrieve, and gun introduction. With the goal being to have proper introduction to a void fixing problems later.” Bring your bird dogs and get hands on help to create the best Southern Appalachian gun dog they can be.
After the 2-3 hour seminar we will enjoy a BBQ lunch then head out to the sporting clays range. The seminar, lunch and 100 clays are all included in registration. The junior registration includes membership to RGS along with the seminar, lunch and 100 clays.
Shooters will need to bring 5 boxes of shells, hearing and eye protection.
Proceeds go toward conservation of forest wildlife and support of the local chapter.
