Pittsburgh, Pa. (June 8, 2022) – The Ruffed Grouse Society & American Woodcock Society are excited to announce the continuation of their corporate partnership with onX Hunt. onX Hunt is a mapping app that lets users know where they stand by providing the richest and most innovative mapping experience, contextual data and guidebook content available. The onX Hunt partnership will continue to directly contribute to the RGS & AWS mission, supporting healthy forests, abundant wildlife and conservation ethic in 2022 and beyond.
“RGS & AWS have been fantastic partners, and we’re excited to continue the relationship, putting habitat to work across the country for the birds we hold so dear. With all of the issues facing habitat and subsequently bird numbers, onX is committed to helping combat these issues through access and habitat improvement,” said Ben Brettingen – Wingshooting Manager.
In addition to nationwide public and private land boundaries, topographic and 3D maps, onX Hunt also features Tree Species & Habitat maps with a Young Aspen Forests Layer that shows what trees are in your area, so you can specifically target upland gamebirds.
“RGS & AWS is excited to have extended our corporate partnership with onX Hunt. Being an old school hunter that replied on topo and plat maps to find and access public hunting covers, I no longer need to worry about lost pages or faded notes. The onX product has added clarity and comfort to my days afield,” said Glen Blackwood, RGS & AWS Director of Regional Development – Lower Peninsula & eastern UP Michigan and Indiana.
