Robert Nortman was raised in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, and attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point for his B.S. in forestry management. Roberts career history includes being an arborist and most recently a procurement forester for Buffalo Lumber and Tie in Fountain City, Wisconsin.
Filling a new partnership position, Robert will be working with the Natural Resource Conservation Service office in Whitehall, Wisconsin, providing technical assistance to landowners and implementing the Federal Farm Bill programs. Robert’s area of coverage is the northern portion of the driftless region in Wisconsin.
Nortman has been involved in a multitude of conservation projects working with private landowners to create diverse wildlife habitat and promote timber stand improvement in the driftless region. His true passion is working with landowners to achieve their wildlife goals through active forest management.
When he isn’t working, Nortman enjoys hunting, fishing and playing numerous sports!
