CORAOPOLIS, Pa. — The Ruffed Grouse Society and American Woodcock Society are excited to announce a new corporate partnership with Remington Arms Company, an American manufacturer of firearms and ammunition. The storied brand will likely need no introduction to the grouse and woodcock hunting members of RGS/AWS; however, the significant contributions Remington has made to hunting culture and wildlife conservation throughout their history cannot be understated. In 2020, Remington Arms will directly contribute to the RGS/AWS mission in support of Healthy Forests, Abundant Wildlife and Conservation Ethic.
The impact of the Remington 870 shotgun alone is worth noting. With more than 13 million sold since 1950, the impact that this single shotgun has had on upland hunting and wingshooting in America since its inception is indescribable.
“Remington is proud to be partnering with The Ruffed Grouse and American Woodcock Society. Their commitment to conservation, forest habitat, and preserving America’s sporting traditions aligns perfectly with our conservation initiatives and the need to support and grow our hunting heritage. Wingshooting is at the heart of our brand and building a meaningful partnership with RGS/AWS just makes sense. We look forward to expanding this partnership in 2020 and beyond,” said Christian Hogg, Director of Marketing.
For more than 200 years Remington has been a part of the hunting tradition and conservation ethic of this country. While they continue to innovate in the development of firearms and ammunition, they recognize the importance of our natural resources as well as the end users of said resources and Remington products.
“We are very excited to welcome Remington into the Ruffed Grouse Society and American Woodcock Society Corporate Partner program,” said Sean Curran, Vice President of Mission Sustainability at RGS/AWS. “From our very first conversations, we began exploring new and creative ways to work together. Whether through R3 initiatives, conservation projects, or membership initiatives, we know both organizations working together will have a positive impact on conservation.”
