Join RGS and AWS for our annual Women’s Intro to Wingshooting Course available to Grand Rapids, MN area residents in 2019.
The Women’s Intro to Wingshooting is a course designed to provide women in the region each course is held with outdoor skills, a network resource of like-minded ladies, and a foundation for hunting game birds. The program was developed by RGS and supported by sponsors to promote the future of hunting through recruitment and retention of new upland game hunters

Location: Grand Rapids Trap Club
Schedule: All classes start at 6PM. (Shooting typically follows after 30 minutes of class time)
- June 13th | Meet and Greet – Please bring your
shotgun (cased) that you will be using this year. - June 20th | Shot Gun Basics, Cleaning, Handling Different
Styles. Intro to Shooting - June 27th | North American Model of Wildlife Management
and Upland Game Birds of North America.
Shooting - July 11th | Hunting Dog Basics, Field Care and Handling.
Shooting - July 25th | Where and how to hunt the upland game birds of
MN and WI. Shooting - August 8th | Shot to Table: Handling, Cleaning, and Cooking
Game Birds. Shooting - August 22nd | In the Field: Gear, clothing, ammunition, and
Licenses. Shooting - September TBA | Pheasant hunt at game farm, Volunteer
