The Ruffed Grouse Society and American Woodcock Society (RGS | AWS) will once again staff a booth at the annual National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic. This year the event returns to Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 14th through the 16th.
This year RGS | AWS has joined Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in presenting the first ever Public Lands Pavilion at the event. As the newest stage and exhibitor area at the event, the Public Lands Pavilion will celebrate the country’s 800 million acres of prairies, forests, mountains, and public lands open to all Americans for hunting, hiking, and exploring.
Public Lands Stage
Within the pavilion, the Public Lands Stage will feature RGS | AWS representation over the course of the weekend. RGS | AWS President and CEO, Ben Jones, will speak as part of multiple panels on both Friday and Saturday.

Ruffed Grouse Hunting on Public Land
Friday at 6PM and Saturday at 2PM
“Grouse hunters from around the country will be participating in panel discussions about tips and tricks for hunting your favorite birds on public lands.”

Build A Wildlife Area Campaign
Additionally RGS | AWS, along with a host of other partners in conservation will be spearheading the Build A Wildlife Area Campaign which will help to purchase a new wildlife management area in Minnesota.
