Guidelines

All entries are submitted with the understanding that they may be included in published materials for the Ruffed Grouse Society & American Woodcock Society. We have an exciting season planned ahead and want to include as many vibrant works of art from our community as possible. All contributors will be credited in promotion and production.

Awards:

The Top 3 Winners in each category will receive:

1. One-year Memberships or Extensions to RGS & AWS, along with perks from recent promotion
2. Feature sharing on Social Media & the RGS website
3. Commemorative 60th Anniversary Cups (Top 10 winners will receive these also)
4. Published piece in COVERS Magazine featuring your artwork and recapping the Art Fair

Categories & Technical Specifics

Photographers, illustrators, painters, etchers, carvers and more are invited to submit entries in the following categories:

• •  Wildlife ruffed grouse, woodcock, other fauna encountered in the uplands
• •  Sporting Dogs our favorite four-legged friends
• •  Upland Habitat & Landscapes highlighting our treasured surroundings
• •  People & Traditions portraits, groups, families and other memorable moments
• •  Conservation Work on the ground impact via banding, habitat work, etc.

Technical Details

• •  Vertical and Horizontal formats are allowed
• •  2mb max file size, we will reach out if we need a higher resolution image
• •  Images should be a minimum of 1500px at shortest dimension
