- Timber harvest began last winter through good-neighbor agreement with the MI DNR
- Logging roads/skids being converted into trail loops.

- 30 acres of habitat improvements occurring at Norwich Hunter Walking Trail
- Aspen present at the site which is overmature and 80+ years old. The understory is dominated by shade-tolerant species like maple and basswood. Heritage oaks present throughout the site aren’t regenerating at all.
- Crop-tree release to encourage acorn production and oak regeneration.
- Non-commercial aspen harvest to increase forest diversity and improve habitat for grouse and woodcock.
- “Glinda” Timber Sale/Blue Road Hunter Walking Trail
- 271 acres, timber sold to local loggers.
- Pre-harvest meeting with RGS and the logger is planned for late 2024 with harvest likely beginning January 2025
- Other timber sales
- Working with USFS timber stand on the creation of another timber sale off FH-16 near Courtney Lake, likely to be ~60-100 acres depending on final arrangement
- Worked to include 15 acres of openings in an upcoming timber sale “Tullibee.”
