RGS & AWS Hires Jeremy Collard as Western Great Lakes Regional Engagement Coordinator

January 19, 2024 by Kevin Sterling

Jeremy Collard comes to RGS & AWS with nearly a decade of service in the conservation world as both a volunteer and a staffer in former roles with other organizations. As someone who took up hunting in his adult life, his first hunting experiences took place in his college years while in the Northwoods of northeastern Minnesota, chasing grouse around the Boundary Waters area with friends after a season of working with an area outfitter.

He took that passion for the outdoors and hunting back to his home state of Florida, where he became a turkey hunting junkie. His family has deep ties to northeastern Minnesota, dating back to the late 1800s, where they still maintain the single room log cabin his ancestors built on their Homestead Act property. He has been fortunate enough to visit annually to hunt grouse with his dog, Scout, and is excited to work with RGS & AWS to see habitat work being done in the region that has been a big part of his life since childhood.
