Washington Chapter Habitat Planting Project

Join the Ruffed Grouse Society and Conservation Northwest planting native plants in recovering riparian areas of the Greenwater River. We will be planting: Scouler’s Willow (Salix scouleriana); Red Elderberry (Sambucus racemosa); Thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus); Osoberry (Oemlaria cerasiformis); and Serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia).
Location: Meet at the Greenwater Fire Station on Hwy. 410 just east of the town of Greenwater. We’ll be caravanning up to Forest Road 70.
Time: Meet at 8:30, hope to start work by 9:00, wrap up around 1:00 PM.
Lunch and tools provided. Please bring work gloves and work boots/shoes.
