Grand Rapids, MI Woodcock Walk

The Prairie Overlook Parking Lot is on Kies St., .7 miles to the east of Courtland Dr. and to the west of Myers Lake Rd. The parking lot is on the north side of Kies.

7:45-8 P.M. Gather in Prairie Overlook Parking Lot.
8-8:20 P.M. Discussion of Harry Luton, woodcock banding, woodcock biology, migration routes, etc.
8:20-8:30 P.M. Move to watching sites.
8:30 P.M. ‘til dark Watch and listen to the skydance of woodcock. A camp chair and binoculars beneficial.

This is an outside event, please wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. The viewing sites will be in the field approximately 200 yards from the parking lot.
Alcohol is prohibited at Luton Park.
