Fundraising Merchandise Catalog: Securing underwriting for merchandise and securing quality donations is the key way to maximizing fundraising efforts. As an additional resource, the national office compiles a variety of merchandise and firearms available to chapters to order at reduced costs for fundraising events. Orders for national office-supplied merchandise and supplies are selected with the help of the Merchandise Catalog and Gun List. You will work with the regional engagement coordinator to determine budgets and select and order firearms, packages and individual items for any upcoming event.
The Merchandise Catalog and Gun List are especially useful in securing local individuals and businesses to sponsor/underwrite the cost of the items.
Some national and international trips are available at steep discounts. Chapters won’t be charged if these trips don’t sell for the minimum amount. Your engagement coordinator can provide further trip details.
Local gun purchase note: If purchasing guns locally, be sure to let the local FFL know that the firearms are for nonprofit use and provide the appropriate Tax Exempt Forms.
When selecting a firearm(s) from a local dealer, please keep in mind that handguns, A.R. platforms and tactical firearms aren’t permitted as prizes at RGS & AWS events.
The Event Package is compiled by the national office and is designed to start a chapter off on the right track for an upcoming event. All primary fundraising events will receive the merchandise event package and merchandise catalog and will have the option to select additional add-on merchandise from our Preferred Vendor Program. This program is for vendors who provide discounts for RGS & AWS events. Engagement coordinators can provide a Preferred Vendor list.
Committee Merchandise: If your chapter committee would like to order RGS & AWS branded apparel to distinguish themselves at an event, reach out to your engagement coordinator for options.
Event Incentive Merch: The national office can provide various registration incentive items. These items are generally preselected for the year by the national office and purchased in bulk to reduce costs. If the committee desires something specific as an incentive item, please communicate this with the regional engagement coordinator for possible accommodation. If a chapter would like to work locally to produce products/merchandise, RGS & AWS and chapter logos are available. Chapter Badges: The regional engagement coordinator needs to approve any local orders. Incentive items include the following:
- Sponsor Gifts: Typically, $5-$10 gifts are given to all sponsors to show appreciation. These gifts are exclusive to sponsors and will be branded as such. Examples include knives, can koozies and hats.
- Table Prizes: Typically, $.50-$3 gifts are provided to all paid attendees to show appreciation for their attendance and ensure all attendees leave with something. Examples include stickers, patches, etc.
Event Administrative Resources: RGS & AWS will provide the necessary event supplies for the chapter to host a successful fundraising event.
