Chapter Reserve Accounts

In addition to the chapter checking account, each chapter also has a chapter reserve account, which is held by the RGS & AWS national office. The chapter reserve account is separate from the chapter checking account. Reserve accounts are to be used to further the RGS & AWS mission to promote stewardship for our forests, our wildlife and our future. Chapters can use funds in their reserve accounts to support large-scale habitat projects, local habitat projects, fundraising and R3 efforts (recruitment, retention and reactivation).  

To access these funds, a request should be submitted to the regional engagement coordinator. These requests must follow 501c3 guidelines. If the request follows this guideline, a check can be mailed out or electronically deposited into the local chapter checking account. Chapters can find the balance of their reserve accounts by contacting their regional engagement coordinators. Reports are provided by the national office to the regional engagement coordinator, showing the balances of all reserve accounts with the year‐to‐date transaction in each.
