Welcome to the Central Maryland (formerly named Potomac Valley) Chapter! We are a group of upland hunters who are dedicated to helping new hunters learn how to hunt, where to hunt and why habitat restoration is so critical to our sport. We have members who have dogs and others that don’t. We like to have fun at our events and really want to have you involved. Please contact us if youre interested in learning more about our chapter and/or about how or where to hunt. We are looking for the opportunity to welcome you and to help you!

Maryland Habitat Day

RGS Forester, Mr. Ben Larson, will be coordinating preparations for a prescribed burn at the Frederick Forest Watershed. Volunteers will help clear perimeter Mountain Laurel in preparation for the burn in the next few months. Please contact us if you’re interested in helping out or just knowing more about the project. The area we are working on will help to create successional habitat for many species including woodcock and potentially, grouse that once flourished in this area. Who doesn’t want to see a burn!!
