Grouse Camp 2024

Interested in grouse and woodcock hunting, but not sure where to start?

Grouse Camp is the event for you!

RGS & AWS staff, members and partners will be on-site and eager to introduce you to the grouse woods. This three-day event will be action-packed with two days of mentored hunting,informative seminars, upland camaraderie, bird dogs, good food and tall tales of the Northwoods.

Attendees are responsible for purchasing a Wisconsin Hunting License and abiding by the laws set forth by the state of Wisconsin.

West Central Wisconsin Chapter Annual Banquet

The banquet committee looks forward to hosting you at our annual banquet! There will be many great opportunities to win prizes, raffles and auction items that evening, all while supporting a great cause!

Your attendance is a fun opportunity to meet other conservation enthusiasts.

Proceeds go toward conservation of forest wildlife and support of the local chapter.

Chain O’Lakes Chapter Birds and Brew

Come out for the evening and talk birds, dogs, habitat, conservation and scatterguns with passionate, like-minded folks.
All pre-registered attendees will receive tickets for door prize drawings.

Dan Killam from WIDNR will be speaking about how the WIDNR works with RGS & AWS to manage public land for ruffed grouse and American woodcock. The discussion will cover the planned chapter habitat project and the volunteer opportunities associated.

Chippewa Valley Chapter 2024 Conservation Shoot

Come support your local chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society at our upcoming shoot.

Trap, 5 Stand and Skeet will be offered.
Shooters will receive a raffle ticket for every clay broken!
Cost: $50 per shooter; $225 per 5-person team (single registration)
Includes: 50 rounds: shooter’s choice of trap, skeet or 5-stand and lunch. Shooters can register twice!
Team: 50 rounds per person – Team’s choice of trap, skeet or 5-stand and lunch. Teams can register twice!
Not Included: Shells are not provided but can be purchased on site.

Ken Blomberg from Wisconsin Woodcock Project will be speaking about placing GPS transmitters on woodcock to monitor migration and movement in Wisconsin.
