Agreement Narrative: Ruffed Grouse Society Great Divide Stewardship Primary Funder: Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest (Stewardship) Location: Great Divide Ranger District, Chequamegon National Forest, Wisconsin Innovation: This is a non-timber short-form stewardship agreement. Through this short-form agreement, the USFS is providing RGS & AWS with Bipartisan Infrastructure (BIL) funding to evaluate and assess no-bid timber sale payment units on the Great Divide Ranger District of the Chequamegon National Forest. Using this funding, RGS & AWS will contract the assessment of no-bid timber sales out to a consulting forestry company. North Fork of Pound Prescribed Burn  (Virginia)

Agreement Narrative: North Fork of Pound Prescribed Burn  Primary Funder: Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Location: Clinch Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forest, Wise County, VA Innovation: The project provided funding to the Forest Service to complete a high-priority prescribed fire in the North Fork of Pound Special Area, covering over 5,000 acres. The burn was a second entry, and it accomplished its goal of maintaining the canopy gaps that were created during the prior burn and consuming ground fuels. Agreement Narrative: Copper Country Habitat Restoration Project MOD01 Primary Funder: Ottawa National Forest  Location: Kenton Ranger District, Ottawa National Forest, Michigan Innovation: This cost-share agreement allows for the funding of an RGS-employed project coordinator who works with USFS staff to implement forest management projects on the Ottawa NF.
