The Chesapeake Conservancy is providing 4,000 live stakes (alder, red osier, silky dogwood, etc.) and we’ll be planting those on our new woodcock project area on SGL 317.
This is easy work as the stakes just get stuck into the ground, no shovel needed!
Bring work gloves. The PGC believes that a group of 4-6 volunteers can complete this work in a couple of hours.

Women’s Introduction to Wingshooting is a course for women and taught by women. In partnership with the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC), volunteers from Turkeys for Tomorrow and the Ridge Country Chapter of The Ruffed Grouse Society will be planting crabapple trees on State Gamelands 107.
Trees will need holes dug and cages made in order to protect them from deer and other wildlife as they get started.
Volunteers, please plan to bring work gloves and a shovel.
