Andy Ammann Chapter Habitat Cleanup Day 2026

Join the Andy Ammann Chapter of RGS & AWS for a habitat cleanup day removing barbed wire and T-posts at the newly developed Potterville State Game Area. This project highlights a partnership between RGS & AWS, Pheasants Forever and the Michigan DNR. This past winter, RGS & AWS completed 10 acres of mechanical openings on the property. Bring brush pants, boots, safety glasses, work gloves and a friend. Enjoy camaraderie and time together during Father’s Day weekend 2026. Andy Ammann Chapter – Capital City Woodcock Walk 2026

Join the Andy Ammann Chapter of RGS&AWS for an evening walk to witness one of the most remarkable signs of spring, the courtship display of the American Woodcock. The walk will end by (hopefully!) watching the remarkable dance and song of this secretive bird. The walk portion of the event will be held entirely outdoors. The time, approximately 75 minutes, will be spent on a leisurely walk with a handful of stops. The planned walk with occur on a trail, expect to walk 1/2 mile to 1 mile. Michigan Call for Volunteers –

Join fellow members for a hands-on opportunity to restore and improve access to upland habitat impacted by recent storm damage. This volunteer event is a joint effort between MUCC’s On the Ground program and RGS & AWS.

Members from the Jim Foote Chapter (Gaylord/Grayling), Andy Ammann Chapter (Lansing) and Robert J. Lytle Chapter (Lapeer) will be on-site to support the project — and all members and chapters across the state are encouraged to attend.
