Chippewa Valley Chapter Birds and Brew and Habitat Work

Join us for an informative evening with Wisconsin DNR Wildlife Biologist Terrance Shaurette as he discusses an exciting new habitat initiative at the Augusta Wildlife Management Area.
Over the next five years, the Chippewa Valley Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society will be partnering with the Wisconsin DNR to adopt and enhance habitat across the property. While aspen is often considered the cornerstone of grouse habitat management, this presentation will explore how focusing on a diverse mix of habitat types and plant communities can benefit grouse, woodcock and a wide variety of other wildlife species.
Terrance will provide an overview of the planned habitat projects, management goals, and opportunities for volunteers to get involved in improving this important public hunting area.
Stick around after the presentation for refreshments, conversation, and a social hour with fellow hunters, conservationists, and habitat enthusiasts.
