Amelia Shingle Joins RGS & AWS as Forest Wildlife Specialist in Wisconsin

February 25, 2025 by Ruffed Grouse Society

RGS & AWS welcomes Amelia Shingle as a forest wildlife specialist working in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Amelia is originally from Lindenhurst, Illinois, and earned her bachelor’s degree in forest ecosystem restoration and management with minors in soil science and forest ecology and health at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Her previous work experience includes interning with the Healthy Grown program, where she worked with landowners to restore unused agricultural fields into native prairies. Additionally, she has worked as a fire effects monitoring research assistant, monitoring the effects of prescribed fire on oak regeneration and deer forage. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and gardening. Amelia is excited to join RGS & AWS in its mission to improve wildlife habitat and forest health.
