In cooperation with the Kentucky Wildlife Commission and the Kentucky River Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society, a 2017 KY Season Elk (Bull) Tag and $2000 Cash was raffled off on Friday, April 28, 2017 at RGS headquarters in Coraopolis, PA. Only 250 tickets were available for sale.

Congratulations are in order for RGS member Don M. of Dickson, TN! Don was drawn as the winner for the RGS raffle for a 2017 Elk tag and $2000 cash prize.

Only 800-1000 tags are issued each season. Elk experts predict that the next world record will come from Kentucky. The bull tag is good for all KY Elk season dates that include archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons.

We wish Don a safe and enjoyable hunt this fall! Thank you to everyone that purchased raffle ticket(s) and have helped advance future grouse and woodcock habitat!
